Testing of mechanical properties

Mechanical tests provide key parameters for the strength, stiffness and deformability of plastics and enable the evaluation of their behaviour under various loads. They form the basis for material selection, component design, and quality assurance, and provide reliable information on the performance and reliability of products.
Standardized test methods are used to investigate tensile, compressive, and flexural behaviour, as well as impact strength, hardness, and bond properties. This allows for the reproducible recording and evaluation of mechanical properties and failure mechanisms.

In our accredited laboratory, we offer, among others, the following test methods:
- Tensile, compressive, and flexural tests in the temperature range of -40 °C to +120 °C
- Peel tests and tear resistance
- Impact tests acc. to Charpy, Izod, and Dynstat in the temperature range of -40 °C to 23 °C
- Hardness tests acc. to DIN EN ISO 48
