Corrosion tests
Corrosion tests are used to simulate corrosive environmental influences such as humidity, salt, and harmful gases. They enable the assessment of the resistance of materials, coatings, and components to chemically aggressive atmospheres and provide reliable information on the long-term durability of technical products under operating conditions. Various methods are employed to reproducibly simulate corrosion processes, surface damage, and functional impairments.
In our accredited laboratory, we offer, among other things, testing procedures acc. to the following standards:
- Condensation tests acc. to DIN EN ISO 6270-2
- Sulphur dioxide test in a humid atmosphere acc. to DIN EN ISO 22479
- Salt spray tests acc. to DIN EN 60068-2-11 and DIN EN ISO 9227
- Cyclic salt spray tests acc. to DIN EN 60068-2-52
- Combined corrosion tests
- Mixed gas tests acc. to DIN EN 60068-2-60
- Single gas tests, e.g. SO2 and H2S acc. to DIN EN 60068-2-42/-43
