Testing electrical properties
Electrical properties significantly influence the operational safety and reliability of technical components. They determine how materials behave under electrical stress and are therefore a key factor in product quality and long-term stability. Our tests provide a robust basis for development, quality assurance and certification across a wide range of industries.
In our accredited laboratory, we offer the following testing procedures:
- Dielectric strength up to max. 51 kV (AC) or max. 71 kV (DC) acc. to DIN EN 60243-1/-2
- Tracking resistance (CTI/PTI) up to 600 V acc. to DIN EN 60112
- Insulation, volume, and surface resistances acc. to DIN EN IEC 62631-3-series
Furthermore, in our non-accredited laboratory, we can perform the following tests:
- Permittivity and dielectric loss factor acc. to DIN EN IEC 62631-2-1
- Glow wire tests (GWIT, GWFI, GWEPT) acc. to DIN EN 60695-2-series
- Tracking resistance (CTI/PTI) up to 950 V
The tests are carried out according to common national and international standards and provide reliable results for the development, quality assurance, and approval of a wide variety of materials and components.
