Temperature and climate testing

Technical components are exposed to a wide range of environmental conditions during their worldwide use. In order to evaluate their effects with reliability, realistic stress scenarios are modelled as part of climate simulation tests.
Our accredited test laboratory accurately replicates thermal and climatic influences – from ageing processes and changing climatic conditions to extreme temperature stresses.

Our scope of services in the accredited laboratory includes:
- Simulation of temperature and humidity conditions under realistic conditions
- Tests under power supply for functional evaluation
- Assessment of optical, mechanical and electrical changes

We offer the following test methods, amongst others:
- Thermal ageing and hot storage acc. to DIN 53497 and DIN EN IEC 60068-2-2
- Cold stress, including ball drop testing acc. to VW PV 3989
- Temperature cycling tests acc. to DIN EN 60068-2-38 and VW PV 1200
- Thermal shock tests acc. to DIN EN 60068-2-14
- Damp heat under constant and cyclic conditions acc. to DIN EN 60068-2-30/-67/-78
- Dewing and condensation tests acc. to BMW GS 95011-4, VW 80000 and DIN EN ISO 6270-2

Tests are carried out acc. to national and international standards, manufacturer specifications or individual customer requirements.
