    1. BIO-BASED TPE

      BIO-BASED TPE

Available immediately and worldwide: Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPEs) that have a variable proportion of renewable raw materials. The THERMOLAST® R range of more sustainable solutions by is expanded by a line of products from renewable raw material sources. Bio-based TPEs also have a lower product carbon footprint than established alternatives that are not based on renewable raw materials. ::: Bio-based TPE with Adhesion to PP ::: • Bio-content up to 71% • Hardness range from 30–85 ShA • Natural or translucent colors • Filled and unfilled versions • Colorable • Processing similar to fossil-based TPE • In-process recycling possible • Selected representatives are recyclable in the post-consumer waste stream ::: Bio-based TPE with adhesion to ABS/PC ::: • Bio-content up to 55% • Hardness range from 40–85 ShA • Adhesion to polar thermoplastics e.g. ABS, PC • Natural color • Filled and unfilled versions • UL 94 HB (not listed) • Colorable • Processing comparable to fossil-based TPE • In-process recycling possible ::: Bio-based TPE with adhesion to PA ::: • Bio-content ~63% • 60 ShA; further hardness adaption on request • Adhesion to Polyamides e.g. PA 6.6, PA • Natural color • Colorable • Processing comparable to fossil-based TPE • In-process recycling possible ::: Advantages of Bio-based TPE ::: > Biogenic Absorption • = Plants are taking up CO2 from the atmosphere • Positive effect on climate • Contributing to Circularity > PCF Reduction • The CO2 uptake can be accounted to the product carbon footprint • Reduction of up to 50% > Sustainability • Reducing finite raw material usage • Supporting the transition from fossil-based materials to renewable raw materials

    2. Biodegradable and sustainable compounds with a 0% Co2 footprint

Biodegradable and sustainable compounds with a 0% Co2 footprint

Beologic is our answer to the question of how we bring sustainability and environmental protection into balance with quality-tested materials and a unique product portfolio. The Belgian producer is our reliable partner in the implementation of bio-based, sustainable and flexible solutions. Since its foundation in 2000, Beologic has focused on the production of wood-plastic polymers of the highest quality and has developed into a manufacturer of compounds based on various polymers and natural fibres with a capacity of 20,000 tons per year. Replacing the previous materials with natural fibers or recycled polymers from Beologic significantly reduces the CO2 footprint. This has resulted in many developments for injection molding and extrusion applications. The following product lines are manufactured by a highly motivated team: BeoBase (traditional wood-plastic compounds WPC based on standard polymers) , BeoGrade (bio-based compounds, with/without filler, compostable) , BeoSmart (density-optimized polyolefin compounds) BeoCycle (filled/unfilled compounds based on regranulate). Please contact us for a suitable product selection. We will be happy to help you.

    3. BIOCOLEN ® from GRAFE: Color variety for biodegradable plastics – sustainable, certified and design-oriented

BIOCOLEN ® from GRAFE: Color variety for biodegradable plastics – sustainable, certified and design-oriented

Biodegradable plastics play a key role in sustainable product development – especially where mechanical recycling is technically difficult or economically unfeasible. With its BIOCOLEN® product range, GRAFE, based in Blankenhain, offers a tailor-made solution for precisely these areas of application: individually colored, biodegradable plastics that are not only compostable but also meet high aesthetic and functional requirements. Unlike traditional polymer types, which are increasingly required by law to be recycled, the masterbatches and compounds in the BIOCOLEN® range are inherently designed to be degradable, offering a forward-looking option for products with a limited service life. Examples range from packaging and disposable products to hygiene articles. BIOCOLEN® combines ecological responsibility with technical feasibility and design freedom.

    4. Color and texture effects combined cost-effectively in one tool

Color and texture effects combined cost-effectively in one tool

Eschmann Textures International GmbH, Gummersbach, in cooperation with GRAFE, Blankenhain, has developed a new method with which a wide variety of colour and texture effects can be cost-effectively combined in a blow mould. The basis is a digitally printed, flexible film carrier for which the process is named - Digiflex. It offers cost and time optimisation and is suitable for rapid design validation, material testing and product evaluation. Short series production is also possible.
