Headquartered in Breitungen (Thuringia), WIS Kunststoffe GmbH is an innovative, family-run company that has specialized in the production of high-quality plastic recyclates for over 30 years. With a total of two sites - in Breitungen and Trusetal - WIS is one of the leading suppliers of post-consumer recycled plastics (PCR) in Germany.
The company focuses on the sustainable processing of post-consumer plastics (primarily PE and PP) into certified regranulates that meet the highest quality requirements. The materials are low-odour, color-stable and technically processed for demanding applications. They are used in the food, cosmetics, toy and automotive industries.
WIS has its own state-of-the-art laboratory that analyzes and monitors the quality of all products internally. The company thus guarantees compliance with relevant standards and certifications such as ISO, EU 10/2011, FDA, REACH, EN 71 and more.

Own Technical Centre and Testing Technology
We have our own in-house testing laboratory where comprehensive material tests are carried out. Thanks to our many years of experience, state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, and specially developed testing methods, we ensure consistently high material quality—tailored to the requirements of our customers. From chemical to mechanical to thermal testing, our laboratory enables us to test materials according to the strictest quality standards and ensure their suitability for the respective manufacturing process. Through regular migration tests and targeted inspections, we not only ensure the quality but also the reliability of our products – for maximum process reliability and sustainable customer satisfaction.
